AN ALTERNATIVE TO SPEED DATING! This speed mixer will combine the elements of speed dating and also a social mixer. Bring your business cards as this is also an opportunity for networking and meeting new friends.

We will have icebreaker questions ready, raffle, prizes, a game. Attendees will have 6 minutes to chat with anyone of their choice and at the sound of the bell will select another person to chat with. We will do this several times and then have a break for mingling with drinks, snacks, raffle and a game. It is better than speed dating as you are not obligated to sit and speak with all attendees!

No need to be nervous, just remember that everyone is in the same boat. Let's get off those apps and try something different- this really works! All within an atmosphere that has low volume music where you can hear each other speak! All you have to do is show up and just start talking to anyone even someone of the same gender! Come with an open mind. Every effort will be made to keep the gender ratio balanced, however no guarantees can be made.

The event takes place at a trendy Nigerian food restaurant. Drinks/appetizers are available during the event. If you have not had West African food before, you must try it! Our recommendations are the "Suya flatbread" as an appetizer, tilapia and jollof or fried rice, vegetable soup with pounded yam (which is a meat and veggie stew), and puff puff (donuts with sauce and ice cream) or the cheesecake for dessert. They also have a tasty selection of cocktails (Pina colada and strawberry daiquiri are great) and main courses. You can even stay for dinner after the event.

Attendees are encouraged to initiate exchanging contacts at the event. (If you are asked for your contact information but do not feel a romantic vibe with the person, you can always let them know that you would be happy to exchange contacts but that you feel more of a friendship vibe). If you want to be connected with someone but are not sure if they are interested, feel free to send us an email me after the event we will try to play matchmaker after the event is over! Make sure to note the person's name.

Dress to impress! No sport hats, running shoes, athletic clothing, T-shirts.

The event will start promptly (3pm) so please arrive early.

Steps away from St Clair Subway (Yonge and St Clair). Parking can be found on the nearby side streets or public lots.

Spots are limited. In an attempt to balance the male-female ratio, no tickets will be available at the door. No refunds.
